The short version: Amalex Handler is self-hosted software that runs entirely on your machine. We never see, collect, or have access to your files, credentials, or transfer data. This Privacy Policy covers only the information we collect through our website and purchase process.
1. About Amalex Handler
Amalex Handler is a self-hosted, locally-run application. When you use the Software:
- All file transfers happen directly between your configured endpoints.
- Connection credentials are encrypted and stored in a local SQLite database on your machine.
- No telemetry, analytics, or usage data is collected by the Software.
- No data is transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- The Software does not “phone home” or require an internet connection to operate.
We have zero access to your data.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect information through two channels: our website and the purchase process.
2.1 Website (amalexhandler.com)
Our website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We collect:
- Web analytics: Cloudflare may collect anonymized, aggregate analytics (page views, country, browser type). No personally identifiable information is tracked. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party tracking scripts.
- Server logs: Cloudflare’s infrastructure may log IP addresses as part of standard CDN operations. These logs are managed by Cloudflare under their Privacy Policy.
2.2 Purchase Process
When you purchase a license, the transaction is processed by our payment provider (currently LemonSqueezy). During checkout, they collect:
- Name and email address (for license key delivery).
- Payment information (credit card or other payment method).
- Billing address (as required for tax calculation).
We receive your name, email address, and transaction details from the payment provider. We do not receive or store your full credit card number or payment credentials.
2.3 Support Communications
If you contact us at support@amalexhandler.com, we collect the information you provide in your email, including your email address and any details you share about your issue.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Deliver your License Key after purchase.
- Provide customer support when you contact us.
- Send important product announcements (e.g., major version releases, critical security updates). These are infrequent and you can opt out at any time.
- Process refund requests.
We will never:
- Sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Send you unsolicited marketing emails or newsletters without consent.

- Purchase records: Retained for as long as necessary for tax, legal, and support purposes (typically 7 years for financial records).
- Support emails: Retained for as long as necessary to resolve your issue, then archived.
- Website analytics: Managed by Cloudflare according to their retention policies.
